It's the perfect gateway to the some of the best road riding and mountain biking in the area, at Donner State Park or up scenic Old Highway 40 to Donner Pass, with beautiful Donner Lake on the way! Our location is right off of Highway 80 at the western-most Truckee/Donner Lake exit.

Paco first came to the Sierra Nevada in 1974 for a backpacking trip. In 1978, he moved here, and started his bike shop out of his home the next year.The story is similar for many of us here at the store. Come up to the mountains for a year or two and Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada takes its grip on us and we make the choice to call this home. The obvious reason is our love for the outdoors and the athletic opportunities this place has to offer. When we are not playing, we have to work, and it might as well be in a place selling the sporting equipment that we are familiar with.

PACO'S BIKE and SKI has been in business since 1979, providing biking and cross country skiing services to the Truckee & Tahoe region. With an amazing amount of years of combined experience in the Nordic and Bicycling world, someone here will probably be able to answer your question, no matter how obscure.
